A set of 8 different shaped Beanie bags with the name of each shape stitched onto one side. Ideal for early shape recognition activities.
When a child with special needs has struggled to learn maybe his shapes, it is helpful to be able to generalise the learning in a variety of ways, including sensory – wooden shapes, plastic shapes, pictures of shapes and that is why these beanie bags are such a nice resource. They can be used in a matching game – matching up the correct bean bag shape with the shapes in a book, wooden shape puzzle etc.
Or to practice turn taking – put all of the shapes in the bag and take turn to pick out a shape – feel it talk about it and then match it to another shape.
